Description | This unit of competency covers the skills and knowledge required to set up, operate, monitor and shut down the components of a butter oil process. This process is also known as an anhydrous milk fat (AMF) process. This process is used for the preparation of butter oil from either cream or melted butter. | ||

Learning Outcomes and Application | This unit has application in a dairy product production environment. It typically targets the production worker responsible for applying basic operating principles to the operation and monitoring of butter oil equipment and processes.When batch or product changeover procedures are part of this work process, the procedures should be used to customise the application of this unit.
